Outreach and Engagement
I view the role of Miss Alabama as a catalyst for connection and simply listening to the stories of others. My community outreach is designed to mobilize our network of local titleholders and recruit new young women, while simultaneously driving community awareness of our organization. I will ensure every pillar of the organization reaches all areas of our state and beyond.
The Make a Difference Day: I will spearhead an advocacy summit at the Alabama State Capitol, bridging the gap between local titleholders and state leadership, including Governor Ivey. Beyond facilitating meetings with legislators, I will lead a virtual training intensive on advocacy and Community Service Initiative development, which will transform every local titleholder into an effective statewide advocate.
The 67-County Impact Initiative: In strategic collaboration with the Alabama League of Municipalities, I will execute a comprehensive tour of every county in the state. To amplify the reach of the Miss Alabama brand, I will integrate local titleholders into these community appearances, fostering grassroots engagement and strengthening the connection between the organization and Alabama’s municipal leaders.
Educational Outreach & Literacy: Leveraging my proven curriculum on resilience and courage, which is currently active in every Shelby County elementary school, I will scale this program to a statewide audience. By utilizing my children’s book, The Crown of Courage, which is accessible in every Alabama county library system, I will lead school and library engagements that combine literacy with actionable character development for students across the state.
MAO Recruitment: I will deploy a "Why Miss Alabama?" recruitment toolkit specifically designed for university career centers. By repositioning the organization as Alabama's premier scholarship and professional development program for young women, I will demonstrate how the Miss America Opportunity cultivates leadership, communication, and resilience.
