Advanced Recovery Systems Real Talk-As a Real Talk Brand Ambassador with Advanced Recovery Systems, I travel the country educating students about the dangers of substance abuse. Real Talk highlights the realities and differences between mental and physical effects of alcohol on the brain, as well as emerging trends among youth in regards to experimentation with different substances. The Real Talk presentation is based on the Alcohol Literacy Challenge, which has revolutionized classroom-based prevention efforts by changing students' beliefs about the effects of alcohol through cutting-edge brain science and media literacy education. The Alcohol Literacy Challenge curricula is included in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA)'s National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices. I would love to bring Real Talk to your school free of charge to spread this message. Education is power!
Hyundai Hope On Wheels-In 1998, Hyundai a small group of New England car dealers wanted to make a difference in their community. This eventually led them to the cause of pediatric cancer and creating Hyundai Hope On Wheels, a nationwide non-profit organization. With every Hyundai car sold, a portion of that sale goes to Hyundai Hope On Wheels. Over the past year, the non-profit surpassed a total of $172,000,000 donated to pediatric cancer research in the United States. Across the country, handprint ceremonies take place where a child who has been impacted by cancer can place their handprint on a brand new white Hyundai. This signifies the belief that just like every handprint is unique, every child's battle with cancer is different.
